Small adorable cafe nestled in the brickfields shopping lane. Food is simple and yummy with a Malaysian-western menu. The coffee was warm and paired well with the meal. A nice place to grab a small bite and chit chat with friends.

Owner was very sweet and friendly. But food tastes wise, many things could be improved. As Malaysian who is accustomed to the taste of local cuisine, this cafe serves decent food but quite far from what would normally taste good. Buttermilk gravy was goey, perhaps too much starch slurry used. Nasi lemak is good but the sambal tasted off and the fried chicken was a lil burnt. Service was quite slow as well considering we were the only customers at that time. Overall the cafe is nice and cozy.

Came in here by chance to hide from the heat while walking through Little India in KL, and we were not disappointed! The owner was so kind throughout, and even turned up the AC for us. I was super happy to find vegetarian nasi lemak on the menu, as I had been wanting to try the Malaysian classic but don’t eat meat. I went with the rendang mutton version and was not disappointed. It was very delicious, my only complaint would be that the cucumber slices didn’t taste that fresh. My friend ordered the vegetarian curry laksa (not pictured) and found the soup to be a little too heavy compared to what she’s used to (maybe because of the curry component?), but she still liked it. My other friend had spicy kimchi ramen with egg which she liked, but they could have been a bit spicier. We all ordered watermelon juice which was nice and refreshing. Overall a surprising gem, especially for vegetarians wanting to try Malay cuisine.

Review of Bricks Factory Cafe in Brickfields We recently visited Bricks Factory Cafe on Jalan Tun Sambanthan for the first time, and I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful spot! The ambiance is amazing—calm and relaxed, perfectly embodying a true cafe vibe. It’s a perfect stop while exploring the vibrant Little India, especially during the lively Diwali celebrations. One of the standout features is the wall adorned with pictures of two legendary actors, Superstar Rajnikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan. As a die-hard fan of both, I felt an instant connection to the cafe! The owner, a warm and kind-hearted Chinese aunty, has created a welcoming atmosphere that draws in customers. Although we didn’t manage to snap pictures of our food this time, everything we had was delightful. The coffee and freshly squeezed juices are fantastic, and the food is consistently delicious. Don’t miss out on the desserts—especially the salted caramel cake, which is perfectly balanced and easy to enjoy! The staff here are incredibly helpful and kind, enhancing the overall experience. The cafe features a charming mural depicting a walking route for sightseeing in the neighborhood, adding to its appeal. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including nasi lemak and soup noodles, both tasting like home-cooked meals. The kaya and butter toast were so good that we ordered two! Each dish is generously portioned, and the prices are very reasonable. The cafe itself boasts a clean and cozy environment with comfortable seating, making it a great place to relax. We ordered six drinks, and they were ready in under five minutes—impressive efficiency! The mango lassi and curry with steamed buns were also highlights. If you’re in the Brickfields area, this cute little cafe is a must-visit. With good service, a varied menu, and a lovely aesthetic, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after shopping or exploring. I can’t wait to visit again—this cafe has truly captured my heart! Keep up the great work, Bricks Factory Cafe!

We stumbled upon this little gem in the middle of the Brickfields Indian shops after a long day of shopping, tired and hungry. The cozy atmosphere and warm welcome from the friendly owner immediately made us feel at home. The menu has a good variety, including vegetarian options, which was a pleasant surprise. We tried the vegetarian curry mee absolutely delicious! The veg nasi lemak was flavorful, and the roti puri was also spot on. A wonderful find by chance, and we’ll definitely be coming back again.

Several of us came here looking for refreshing drinks and a snack. Food: 4/5 - A contemporary cafe that serves Western and Asian food. The drinks were cold and refreshing on a warm day while the snacks were tasty. One ordered French fries that were hot and tasty. The other had the steamed Chinese bun with red bean paste. It tasted like what mom used to make. Service: 5/5 - great and friendly server Atmosphere: 5/5 - nice vibe to the place with air con. Located off Little India street.
